Today, County Health Officer, Dr. Sara Cody, issued a new, more focused local Health Order related to COVID-19.  County officials announced that Santa Clara County has made excellent progress in the fight against COVID-19. COVID-19 Updates for Santa Clara County   Last week, Santa Clara County reached a significant milestone: one million people who live in Santa Clara County have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Starting March 15, people age 16-64 who have a qualifying severe health condition or disability or illness became eligible for vaccine in Santa Clara County and across the state. Physicians do not need to provide letters or other documentation of diagnosis to their patients who have appointments with the County Health System.
