The SCCMA & CMA represent the voices of
more than 44,000 physicians state-wide

7 Easy Ways to be a Champion of Organized Medicine

  1. Strike Up A Conversation. You are an ambassador for SCCMA and organized medicine wherever you go. Use your pen or your voice to strike up conversations with your patients, students, and fellow physicians about key health issues.
  2. RECRUIT a medical student, resident, or colleague to join SCCMA. Speak with your peers about your positive experiences as a SCCMA member and encourage them to lend support to strengthen the voice of Santa Clara County physicians. Invite a colleague to an upcoming networking mixer or our annual Legislative Advocacy Day.
  3. VOLUNTEER to serve on a committee, coordinate an event, or represent your peers at the CMA House of Delegates.
  4. CONTRIBUTE to the SCCMA social media network. Join the SCCMA online community (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), comment on our blog, bookmark and share a SCCMA eNews article with colleagues, or post upcoming events and information pertinent to the Santa Clara medical communities through the SCCMA Facebook page or LinkedIn.
  5. ADD to the SCCMA knowledge base. Submit an article for the bi-monthly magazine, The Bulletin, become a reviewer of SCCMA publications, consider contributing to the SCCMA blog, or comment on others’ health blogs.
  6. NOMINATE a colleague or yourself for a SCCMA recognition award.  Annual Awards Nominees accepted from January – March of each year, with the Awards Banquet occurring in June.
  7. DONATE to the SCCMA PAC. Invest in the future of medicine by contributing to enable SCCMA to support candidates and legislators who share our philosophy and vision of the future of health care and medical practice.
