The California California Division of Workers’ Compensation recently published a notice that updates the Official Medical Fee Schedule for Physician Services/Non-Physician Practitioner Services, effective for dates of service on or after April 1, 2024.
On Feb. 21, 2024, Change Healthcare, a subsidiary of the UnitedHealth Group Optum unit, experienced a cyber-attack causing nationwide outages impacting payors, physician practices and other providers and pharmacies. A recent AMA survey reveals that 36% of physician practice respondents have experienced a suspension of claims payments, with 32% still unable to submit claims.
On April 1, 2024, Blue Shield of California Promise Health Plan announced that new mailing addresses are now in effect for claims and provider dispute resolution requests submitted by mail.
